Habitat for Humanity Newark (HFHN)
is an ecumenical Christian ministry dedicated to building simple, decent homes
for low income families in Essex County New Jersey. We build homes with
hardworking partner families who supply over 400 hours of sweat equity. HFHN
finances the home purchase with no interest mortgages. We are proud that 69
families have benefited from homes built with generous donations and by
thousands of volunteers.

Volunteers Needed To Join Family Support Committee
The Family Support Committee is in need of Volunteers who are willing to help our Partner Families adapt to becoming homeowners and all that entails. It is a rewarding experience to work with these hard working families who are putting in their sweat equity and adjusting to one of the greatest opportunities they will ever experience. All it takes is your time and a caring attitude. If you would like to share in this process, please Click Here for full details.
Jason Ramsey recently suggested that due to the increased volume of building projects at Habitat for Humanity Newark he and his crew need more tools and supplies. Because we are building more homes, in more neighborhoods, and with more volunteers the need is critical and it is immediate. Circumstances could not be much more different, but the need for decent, affordable housing is as strong as ever. See this interesting story of building homes for those that need them by Clicking Here.

Do not
withhold good from those who deserve it, when it is in your power to
act. Do not say to your neighbor, "Come back later; I'll give it
tomorrow" - when you now have it with you.
