An urban-style condominium subdivision of 23 affordable two- and three-bedroom units in the South Ward, Harmony Point will be the largest project of Habitat Newark to date.

The first phase will comprise three buildings with three condos each – for a total of 9 homes. There will be two- and three- bedroom layouts available.

Thanks to a generous subsidy from the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs, and the support of corporate, faith-based, and individual donors, these homes will sell for $60,000 – $80,000 with a 0% interest mortgage and no monetary down payment. Habitat Newark Partner Families will make a “sweat equity” down payment of at least 200 hours for their Habitat home. To qualify for a Harmony Point home, families must earn between $25,000 and $48,000, depending on family size.
