Mr. Willie Memorial Scholarship Fund

Remembering Willie Clark, a Fighter for Peace, Love, and Patience

With heavy hearts, the family at Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newark marks the June 29 passing of Mr. Willie Clark, a retired contractor who had served as HFHGN’s assistant foreman for nearly 20 years. He was 84.

In honor of Mr. Willie’s memory and to reflect his love for the volunteers, families and young people of Newark, we are pleased to announce the formation of the Mr. Willie Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Each year, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newark will select two High School students planning to go to college and/or vocational school. We will provide a scholarship to attend the university of their choice. The scholarships will be based on academic achievement and community service, and will go to Newark residents who reflect the values Mr. Willie lived by: peace, love and patience.

Are you interested in honoring Mr. Willie and helping to honor his legacy? Contributions to support the Mr. Willie Memorial Scholarship Fund are welcome. Please consider making a contribution online.
