In-Kind gifts of building materials and other project necessities reduce our cost burden, and directly benefit our partner families, and other donations of household items and construction materials are sold at our virtual ReStore to provide further financial support for Habitat for Humanity Newark.

Habitat for Humanity Newark ReStore is a nonprofit home improvement store that sells new and gently used furniture, home accessories, building materials, and appliances to the public at a fraction of the retail price. Proceeds are used to build homes and hope in the community.

Remodeling, cleaning out, down-sizing or just getting organized?  Habitat for Humanity Newark ReStore can help you de-clutter your home, work space or business.  We put the proceeds from selling your donations to good use by building homes and hope in the community.

Habitat Newark operates a ReStore as a virtual store called habitat_for_humanity_newark through ebay.  We do not have a physical retail store at this time. Donations to the ReStore are considered a charitable tax deduction.

How to donate to Habitat for Humanity Newark

Habitat requests that donors email a detailed description and photographs of donations.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to limited storage space, donations are approved or denied according to storage space availability and turnaround time as well as product, specs, age.


Habitat Newark usually schedules free pick-ups twice a month.  Only pre-approved and pre-cleaned items can be arranged for curb-side pick-up.  Call us to learn more about arranging a pick-up for your donations that are too big to fit in a car.

Donated items are limited to those located within a 30-mile radius of our office in downtown Newark and can be sold quickly on a virtual platform. Please store your donations in the garage for easy pick-up, and have them ready at the curb-side or on the driveway for your pick-up day.

Please note: Habitat Newark has limited storage space to keep all donations and limited staff to pick up donations.
