How often do you pick-up donations?

Habitat Newark schedules pick-ups about once a month. Only pre-approved and pre-cleaned items can be arranged for pick-up. Pick-up service is limited to large or bulk items.

How far do you drive to get donations?

Donations located within a 30-mile radius of our office in the Military Park section of Newark may be considered for pick-up.

Is there a charge to pick up the donated items?

Habitat Newark may partner with other organizations such as Got Junk or others to schedule pick ups. In that case, there may be a minimal charge for picking up the donated merchandise.

Where should you place your donations?

Donations must be easily accessible, preferably in the garage, on the driveway, porch, or on the ground floor. If the driver feels there is a risk of damage to the home or business, or there is risk of personal injury, he is obligated to leave the item. Habitat pick-up volunteers will not remove doors, railings or disassemble a donated item.Habitat Newark is not responsible for any damage during pick up.
