There are many ways for you to donate to
Habitat Newark and help us build affordable housing for low income
partner families. Your support is vital to the mission of Habitat
for Humanity Newark.

Checks
You can send us a check payable to Habitat for Humanity Newark to
298 South Orange Avenue, Newark, NJ 07103 (please include your full
street address as well as your email address.) Phone is

Using a Credit Card
You can donate online right here on our website by clicking on the "Donate Now" button at the left of every page where you will find a
secure donation system in place.
American Express and other credit card organizations will follow
your instructions to make regular donations to HFHN, and you can
earn points in their programs. For more on the AMEX program you can
go to: www.americanexpress.com/give.
Also, some credit card companies and some airline frequent flyer
programs will allow you to donate points and miles to HFHN. Please
contact Don Blaesser at 973-624-3330 Ext 301 if you have questions.
In Person
You can call our offices and talk to Dave Zurheide Ext 302 or Don
Blaesser Ext 301 at 973-624-3330 between 8 AM and 4 PM Tuesday
through Friday. You can use your credit card over the phone if you
wish.
Payroll Deductions and Matching Deductions
Many employers have payroll deduction programs and they will forward
your donations to us. Some offer programs with matching funds, be
sure to check that out.
United Way will accept your donation and forward it to us.
Stocks, Bonds Financial Instruments
Many times you can donate stocks, bonds and other financial
instruments to Habitat Newark and receive tax credits. Contact Don
Blaesser 973/624-3330 Ext 301 for more information.
Land
If you have clean, vacant, buildable lots in Essex County, we may be
able to use them to build homes, and you can qualify for a tax
deduction. Contact Jim Corbett at 973/624-3330 Ext 306.
Building Materials, Tools and Supplies
We often are looking for building materials, tools and supplies. Our
ability to accept these items often depends on our current ability
to store them. Call Jason Ramsey if you have something you think we
may be able too use at 973-624-3330 Ext 305.
If we cannot use your building excess materials, or if you have good
used home components such as windows and doors, a kitchen, or
furniture, you can donate them to Habitat Newark and we will re-sell
them via our Virtual Re-Store. Call Jim Corbett 973-624-3330 Ext
306, or email him at projectmanager@habitatnewark.org.
Cars
If you have a car you want to donate, our Cars for Homes program is
an excellent way to help build an affordable house and qualify for a
tax deduction. Please call 1-877-277-4344 or visit www.carsforhomes.org.
Professional Services
If you are an architect, attorney, surveyor, environmental or civil
engineer, etc. we can put your professional skills to work. Call Jim
Corbett at 973/624-3330 Ext 306 to volunteer.
Some other creative and inventive ways to help:
Internet search engines www.goodsearch.com and www.goodshop.com will make a
donation to Habitat Newark every time you do an Internet search.
They are easy to use and it is simple to sign up with either of
these sources. They will set you up to give credit to Habitat Newark
every time you search and you can download a toolbar that makes
using Goodsearch as easy as Google!
Our creative and inventive volunteers have found dozens of ways to
raise funds. From special events, raffles and parties to garage
sales with HFHN as the beneficiary there is no limit to ways you can
help us accomplish our mission. If you have ways we have not
