In addition, please complete the volunteer registration form and bring to the construction site.

We have numerous Volunteer opportunities available:

• On site construction - we have openings for people who want to come and build at our Newark job sites.

• Carpenters Club - The Carpenter Club meets every Wednesday to build. This great group of dedicated volunteers is looking for skilled builders as well as novices to work together. Email us at hfhncarpentersclub@habitatnewark.org

Volunteer Committees:

If you are interested in getting more involved with Habitat Newark’s committees please click on the link to send an email to the committee chair. Please include name and phone number in the e-mail and someone will contact you.

Construction Committee
Assists and advises the construction crew with all construction needs

Development/Fundraising Committee
Responsible for all event planning, researches new donors, maintains donor list and database

Faith Relations Committee
An ecumenical outreach group to connect with all faith-based communities

Finance Committee
Manages all the financial issues for the organization including budgeting, audit and salaries

Family Selection Committee
Selects qualified applicant families who have a need for improved housing and a willingness to partner with Habitat.

Family Nurture Committee
Responsible for maintaining a growing relationship with families from point of entry into the program until one year after the families move into their homes.

Human Resources Committee
Responsible for hiring new personnel, staff reviews, processing new board members

Land Acquisition Committee
Researches and selects land sites for Habitat Newark and is responsible for all real estate acquisitions

Marketing and Public Relations Committee
Responsible for Habitat's newsletter, "The Toolbox", the Habitat Newark website, Public Relations activities that presents Habitat Newark to the community
