Sponsor Spotlight Panasonic

“Giving back is what we do.”

We are pleased to announce our partnership with Panasonic for our 2016 Fall Corporate Challenge. October 12, 2016 was a fun and productive day as over 50 Panasonic employees collaborated with Habitat of Greater Newark staff to paint and hang sheetrock in two of the condominium-style homes at Harmony Point.

In 2013 Panasonic relocated to Newark where they opened their North America Headquarters; October’s build was the perfect way to welcome our new neighbors and work together to revitalize our community.

“Panasonic is proud to be able to support and contribute to the community and we value the positive role our company can play with this effort. We are even more excited to have the opportunity to work in the South Ward, an area of our city which has become a main priority for revitalization,” explained Brian Rowley, Vice President Marketing and Product Management, Panasonic.
Jeff Farrell, CEO of Habitat of Greater Newark, expressed mutual gratitude:
“It is only through the generous commitment and partnership with area corporations that we can help families achieve the American Dream. We are thrilled that Panasonic Corporation of North America is one of our corporate partners and we warmly welcome the employees to the build. It is a rewarding day they will remember and cherish for a long time.”

The team volunteered again in November with their Legal Department, and Terri Seeney, Director of Community Relations & Outreach Programs at Panasonic, was recognized with a Golden Hammer award at this year’s Giving Thanks event.

Habitat of Greater Newark is looking forward to continuing our successful partnership with Panasonic.
