A regular gift made over a longer period of time stacks up in terms of total impact. Regular and predictable support allows Habitat of Greater Newark to fund operations and predict future cash flows—allowing us to commit to a regular construction schedule. Stock Donations
Donating stocks allows you to avoid capital gains tax and often take a charitable deduction for the full value of the asset. Use this tool to donate stock so we can track your gift, send you the correct receipt, and ensure you can get the tax savings you deserve. If you would prefer to make your donation through your broker, access our transfer information from the link above to notify us of your gift.
IRA Gifts
If you are 70.5 or older, giving from your IRA can help reduce your taxable income — and for those over 73 who must take a Required Minimum Distribution (RMD), an IRA gift is a simple way to fulfill it! Planned Giving And Bequests
Planned giving empowers you to make a lasting gift that will continue to support Habitat Newark’s families and neighborhoods. Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) Grants
Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs) are investment accounts for the sole purpose of supporting charitable organizations today. This tool automatically links with your DAF, allows you to recommend how you’d like your gift to be used and notifies us of your intentions. Using the link below to grant from your DAF also saves us a lot of time, so thank you! It’s a great way to ensure consistent financial support while saving cash for immediate needs.
Land

Cars For Homes
Do you have an older car, truck, van, trailer or RV taking up valuable space in your yard? Donating your vehicle will support Habitat for Humanity’s local and global mission of eliminating poverty housing and save you the time and energy of finding a buyer. Read more about Habitat for Humanity International’s Cars for Homes program. The value of any vehicles registered with a Newark area code will be donated to Habitat of Greater Newark. If your vehicle is registered outside of the city, remember to specify that you are donating your car to Habitat of Greater Newark.

ReStore
Our ReStores accept donations accepts donations from individuals, businesses, contractors, and community partners. These donated items are then sold to the public at a fraction of retail prices, keeping reusable materials out of landfills while generating funding for Habitat’s mission.
